The sons of ignoranceA Poem by Matthew Palmer-JonesMy message to the sons of ignorance
Sons of ignorance, you must absolutely hate me.
Every time I speak, you tear me down. My heart is torn that the human race no longer seeks knowledge so divine. I seek what is true, and set aside what I want. But to you, that is an unheard of concept. Set aside what is easy, pursue what is hard. I labor over pages of ancient script, searching for something more. My eyes heavy, and head full of contemplation I refuse to give in to your horrible conditions. I must learn and better myself, for the sake of the world. I can not force you... Go ahead, you stay content... I seek truth, despite the inconvenience.
