Haikus are so meaningful when written right , you have written so beautifully bout how we are so drunk in faith that we believe every bird is an angel , truth is angels are there for people having faiths not drunkards. It d be funny to see the reactions of the people realizing those are nasty vultures 😂

Great analogy. Might not be your intent, but my first thought was how often families start dividing assets when an elder is passing. Vultures where there should be angels.

I hear ya! This is exactly what I was feeling when I wrote my poem "Merca the Beautiful" . . . I'm so sick of everyone getting high on grief but nobody's actually doing much to make the grief stop being unavoidable. There are those with their heads in the angels & then there are those who peck with vultures (((HUGS)))

Oh, this is so deep and cool! I have often pondered on those angels, are demons angels or angels demons or- as here, are they the vultures, meaningful on many levels, is that all faith is in the end...the final curtain being a door rather than another opening...excellent poetry mattavelli :)

I pondered the origin of the angel. I can imagine a child questioning the circling of carrion birds over maybe a battlefield or mass grave, and some adult, maybe a priest, might suggest that the birds are angels gathering souls. The same priest may walk among the delirious dying and comfort them by mentioning the angels circling above. Angels are comfort for the faithful, but if we dont have that faith, they're just demon birds come to peck. Haha
I think faith is just a method of getting children to stop asking why why why...
Do you believe we have eternal souls?

I would say true faith is experiencing your own divine experiences to a degree, so much so that that faith is unbreakable. I am more spiritual - like than religious, organised religion to me is a fear control in some ways. As for the soul - I believe when it is our time then we return to energy, as energy, if that makes sense. I think the soul can be named many things - soul/consciousness/spirit and so on. Einstein stated that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. I think I agree on that - whether that is soul that continues or it can be called energy, who knows but I do believe we continue on somehow in some form. I am as skeptic as I am a believer lol Just my humble opinion mattavelli :)

As we get our energy from the food we eat, it follows that my soul has absorbed the souls of many pizzas. Haha
My feelings are similar to yours, skeptical, but so many people seem so sure. Its disturbing.
