But, what the hey!
Under any name it's good … besides, I relate to it from my own youthful insanity of blasting my entire neighborhood's eardrums out from the woofers 'n tweeters squeezed into my olde Chevy; not mentioning the twin Smitty exhausts that blatted so loud they and got the dogs ta singing along (howling).

i love this. very relatable. i currently live in the inner city and hear cars passing by blaring vibrations. this made me smile and nod. wish i'd written it instead of hearing it ... :)
Very nice use of words and thoughts. I still play my music loud, when I can Matt. Hello from Michigan and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Sounds a bit like Mick Jagger and many other aging rockstars. You have to know when to turn off that radio. One song too many and those speakers blow and so does the reputation. :)
This makes me think of my boyfriend. He loves to drive and listen to music. That’s why we love road trips so much. Your poem reminds me of him and I think that’s sweet. Lovely words, they bring an instant image to the reader. I also love haikus
Thanks or reading, Summer! :)
What's the best road trip music?

You have to start with something that gets the heart pumping like some good ol' Beatles, moving on to disco, maybe some Disney, Emiminem always finds his way. Road trip music to me is either music you know all the words to so you can scream sing and have the time of your life. And then there are some times where you want stuff like New Order that you can play and chit-chat over, ya know?

What imagery your senryu gifts. I see an aging rocker, deep lines on his face, lived life to the full and dangerously. Those speakers could tell a tale or two, yet alone the noise that must have deafened anyone in close vicinity.
Ah, this brings vivid imagery with it :)Those speakers must have seen and heard some times - does he care the speakers are long gone or are they his favourites with memories attached and hard to give up or is his hearing now impaired from the good times the tunes helped him travel him through life's journeys :) Brings many thoughts this piece, lovely mattavelli :)
