The bones of my broken nation
are grinding to powder 
on the rocks of hope,

where good intentions
are so forceful.
They crash and spray,

while the gulls circle and cheer.




Please, God, save me from the Jesus nuts 
and their braggart king.

i wonder in 2020 what it will be like...we live in very scary times, and now i feel they have become much scarier...still digesting it all..

this poem really cuts to the quick...the first two lines just sent me spinning---so apt.

The gulls are preparing to pick our bones clean. I really can't allow myself to get too political; I can be a hurtful and insufferable jerk. However, very simply, I am not happy, I'm ashamed. This is a short and to the point piece of work, and it speaks volumes about this upstart and his blustering rabble of dumbasses. I'm concerned about the future of this once great country.

I hear you loud & clear. Haven't slept all night. Never cried about an election before, but once again, more than half the nation grieves (becuz we DID win the popular vote). Your short expression really hits the spot, since I am unable to discuss this, I find it so upsetting. Your imaginative language is equal to the intensity of this situation in our country. Yes, the man is obnoxious and we are offended. We're in shock that there are so many people in our country who could choose him as their leader. Wow... What happened...
We're heading into four years of "conservative" republicans having the first and last word on every issue. I'm very disappointed, but we'll see how it goes. Let's keep those supreme court judges healthy for the next four years. Haha
Don't watch the tv. Enjoy the season and your garden, maybe throw rocks at the squirrels. Haha
