The Sacrosanct Element

The Sacrosanct Element

A Poem by Matt "Mickey" Denney
"

My favorite place in the world

"

Here the nature renders peace

Earth has become my sanctuary

My friend and I, we rest here

Sitting on the bank,

we revel in stream's beauty

Cedars collect the snow

The deciduous, now barren

Flakes fall around them

Nothing compares to the radiance

I ask myself - who is God?

Reminds me of something you would hear in a low voice after a battle that lasted for days, the words of the wounded and dying.

very lovely. it evokes peace and serenity. the beauty of nature does make us question who could have created all this beauty. great job.
