Green Lawn Moonlight

Green Lawn Moonlight

A Poem by Matt "Mickey" Denney
"

For my friend, a suicide victim. RIP, Jorge!

"

The moon light shines down
Beaming through the trees
I an no other - I am alone
Brilliance down upon me

Here, I am at peace
I look down where you lay
To you I begin to speak
Amongst your stone your soul concilates

Above your stone, an evanescence

Living still are you to me
You display a chimeric iridescence
No falling, no dismay

Our cherished ones never fully leave
The memories now are hallowed

Our vital flame will live for eternity

For us that wait will be dawn of tomorrow
