My MommyA Poem by Freedom's Child
While you were held ever so Gently in your mommy's care
I was laying at the trunk of a tree While you were crawling towards your daddy I was crawling in a vacant field While you holding your mommy's hand I was stumbling from branch to branch While you and your daddy were playing catch I was listening to the whispering wind atop a tree While you were on your family vacation I was on a deserted beach embraced by the ocean Now you tell me that I am wrong When I can stand between you and nature Now you tell me I'm a threat When I defend the only mother I had If I treated your mother The way you have treated my mother Would you sit peacefully in a corner? © 2012 Freedom's ChildReviews
