A Pirate's lifeA Poem by Freedom's Child
The pirate rose at sunset and took to the inlet's cemetery
With the blankness of night he found a new intruder He woke J.R. and raised him to the top Waiting with raw hunger Hard port echos from deep in his eroded belly Flames lash against the blankness Splinters begin piercing his new intruder Lines with hooks for catching men are tossed Forever scarring his new intruder His new intruder raises the white The pirate descends below Grasping at the hope of honor and rum Shredding, Scratching, sniffing, pleading Broken Staggering to the deck Staggering to the plank Sinking to Davie Jone's locker © 2012 Freedom's ChildFeatured Review
