My Hands

My Hands

A Poem by Freedom's Child

Ugly are the knuckles from your so called freedom
Stained in blood from living my life
Scarred from mistakes, surfboards, and your hypocrisy
Bent and broken a shipwrecked vessel

Thank you! I believe government will always seek to protect the interest of a few at the expense of the many. I feel everyone has to move forward to the point of wanting everyone to have what they have and stop always wanting more. If you we can ever reach that point there will not be a need for government and at that time there would be a true revolution.

Thanks! I'll check it out
I often think about revolution, freedom and the future of humanity. I'm a studen to history to some degree so I can't but help think of the collective situation regarding human freedom.

This poem strongly reminded me of that.
