Our trial

Our trial

A Poem by Freedom's Child

Sitting above all
Skin the color of Sant'a's beard
A robe the color of a lump of coal

Here ye
Here ye
SILENCE YOU FOOLS!

In court today
Defendant Earth
Plaintiff man

Earth to be slaved with the charge of trespassing
A sentence for which there must be of the most harsh torture
When guilty condemnation is a must

Man bring forth your evidence
Mystifying mountains hiding our money filled energy
Historic oceans covering our archaic black gold

No need to continue man
It is all to easy to see what the verdict should be
Earth what will be your ludicrous response

The suit filled court remained so still
Earth remained so quiet
The cranky A/C was all that was heard

Then it is so
Earth to be rendered guilty of trespassing
A sentence of outright annihilation

Doors in the back crack open
The sound of children's footsteps are heard
The sound of children's cries echo

Please do not kill my mother
Please let my mother go
Please I die without her

The cries are silenced by the erupting gavel
The fevered judge howls your cries are not a concern for our court
Dismiss these kids the sentence remains!
