The Devils

The Devils

A Poem by Freedom's Child

Mad men of blue and gray
Doing the bidding of the devil's way
Striking down those who dare defy

Histories shadows sliding sinisterly in our cities
Sweeping us swiftly into slavery
Soulless serpents in slick suites slicing tongues

You're not the women and men we thought you to be
You're not a hero for everyone or anyone
You're the ruler using an army to beat you're people

We are few we are fearful
We will be strong we will resist
We will be free
