the yellow rose-diamondA Story by Matome Masipain search of a distnat heart in a crowded place
Yellow
Rose-Diamond; though it
is not your real name My feelings
for you are still the same. The sun and
blue-sky cry of your bright beauty on a calm spring day, Not even a
cloud hovering far or nearby. Yet here I
am, walking these city streets searching for something to remind me of you, searching
hopelessly, vividly.
Searching; But
never finding; Someone or something
close to reflecting your skin, your smile, The hidden
colour in your eyes when the sun rays spark. The woolish
black hair,
The soft
tone of your voice as you talk, Trying to
tell humorous lies. The lazy
walk like you don’t care, when entering and exiting a room, leaving a
lingering scent of your perfume.
Yellow
Rose-Diamond; Here I am
walking these crowded city streets, but there is nothing. At every
turn on the corner I find myself looking and finding not even an illusion of you. As though
you are a dream forged from my subconscious, lingering, unable to
fade away with passing clouds.
How is it
that even when we surrender to the torment of our loneliness and pain, happiness
seems to haunt us. Perhaps one
day I will turn, and it will
really be you, reaching out your hand to me;
I will Forget
the stolen times; slipping deep into the concealed hazel of your eyes, Lost in the
darkness of your love once again, © 2018 Matome Masipa |
