forgotten on the edge

forgotten on the edge

A Poem by Matome Masipa
"

'a memory almost lost'

"

Pretty girl with a face too hard not to miss,

In the distance I blew you a kiss,

Hoping you receive it in the silent breeze,

That Keeps sailing ships motionless and soulless, without its essence of breath.

Without waves to flow with the blow, causing white clouds to float still; Not fly with the birds.

The same way I would love my kiss to find you with some whispering words.

Anything to put a smile on your face,

Giving you an eyelash of my feelings, so your emotions swing from place to place,

Searching, inquisitively as to where so much spark comes from

Causing you to silently turn,

Feeling like a memory of you and me was stolen

And so your hold on to it, trying to relive it;

Because you don’t want to lose the feeling across your neck.

The poisonous aroma that evokes your sanity of a fantasy.

Falling; like a dying flower on a balcony,

Forgotten on the edge.
