the price of beauty

the price of beauty

A Poem by Matome Masipa
"

What is beauty, how do you define it in your eyes

"
Beauty is a pleasant yet dangerous elixir. It turns most of us into a green eyed creature. The reason being Beauty is relative:
It can be art,it can be a perfectly composed melody,It can be gold;it can be hearts; it can be the vision of an ideal; the epiphany of a dream. The hunger to stay the top of the cream. Where people whisper sweet words and feed the delicious desires hidden in the darkest closets of your mind-No matter how good, no matter how bad, a sweet tooth is addictive. So is the allure of beauty; People die for it,people kill for it, people want to be it, people stand in front of mirrors looking for it, from every possible angle. From a glare in their eyes, down to the body. No matter how pure or how greedy its intentions. Anything the eyes and the heart, feel a deep connection to, it is the undeniable monument on which some pride themselves or cherish with all their heart. no matter how ugly it may seem to the next person. Because to realize the capture of the subconscious belief is to realize the capture of what one finds most to be beauty. For it was once a dream, a desire, a simple note, quest for a heart, journey of wealth, the path of building yourself towards perfection,the discovery of yourself, the awareness of what makes you worth being immortalized; in the heart of someone. in the minds of people, the wonders of the world, in the belief of what awaits on the other side of life. We can never live for ever, so all we hold dear will either be left behind or lost to us. You decide what beauty is in your eyes. But never have too much of its elixir is all am saying. But if decide to want too much. Be prepared to roll the dice three times for your fate for it. Somewhere down the line we all eventually roll the dice. The search is always the same, always between: Love; Hate; Sacrifice; Envy; Happiness; Sadness. For me; Its currently love, its sometimes sacrifice, its sometimes happiness. What does your dice say so far in your life?Don't tell me. I do not want to know the price of your beauty. its your secret. I was asking you so you can ask yourself. The price of beauty;
