Slip on this overcoat
of brazen mockery,
See this man falter
under lines of questioning
Falsehoods and lies,
rumors and alibis,
crowned with bramble and thorns,
spit upon, mocked and scorned
In this day and age
all charlatans known,
entertaining with,
sleight of hand tricks
to confuse and mislead,
poor, uneducated miscreants
who plague the city streets,
in these troublesome times
Fed on fear,
crusts of stale bread,
rich, vinegar infused wine,
pathetic trickery,
sustained by prayer
Will you unshackle these chains?
attempt to free yourself?
Behold , the self proclaimed 'king',
Who will save you now?
