Infidelity

Infidelity

A Poem by mathiasthom

Spineless little jellyfish
absolutely no rapport,
or loving support,
who is watching your back ?

spray painted obscenities,
displayed on the side of your pickup
phantom callers on your cell phone,
'don't come home'...

One lie too many,
stories traveled around the neighborhood
A rock through a window,
Marriage turned into total mockery

Crumbling this foundation
all the way to the ground,
watching eyes peer
from behind the kitchen window,
armed with a potato peeler,
sometimes it's best to steer clear...
