Little Bits of Truth

Little Bits of Truth

A Poem by mathiasthom

Cantankerous, yet beautiful just the same,
what is the familiarity,
in a stranger's name ?
An attraction to the minutest details,
while far away eyes plot a suitable getaway...
From this close knit family
into enemy territory,
making this up as we stumble along
It is always the same old story,
look beyond the years,
with the newness of an infant's eyes,
There is something wonderful,
hidden behind a veil of white lies
Little bits of truth,
stretched out of proportion,
reality is far fetched,
while certainty is vexed,
But would not have it,
any other way
The sun breaks free,
from another dismal day...
