Another Glitch

Another Glitch

A Poem by mathiasthom

Latest shopping excursion,
red tag sales
snippy salespeople,
lines advancing at the pace of snails

There is a glitch in the system
the network is down
Plastic credit fails,
like a house of playing cards

No banking checks,
only accepting paper money
Saleswoman is sweating bullets,
This whole situation isn't funny

'sorry, out of order' signs
Cash machines aligned in rows
Credit has been overextended a bit,
obscenities hurl from disbelief and spit...

Missing what was had
Until the situation has gone bad
Assuming it will always be there,
At least, until its resources are bare...
