Crumbling Mountains

Crumbling Mountains

A Poem by mathiasthom

 Coming to grips,
with the ups and downs
Never picture-perfect
not by leaps or bounds,
Generations before, faded behind
in cloaked memories best forgotten,
Time can not be rewound
But in spite of all that,
at a personal crossroads here,
this very second,
shaking moments
when the guidance is removed,
but never that far away...
See this breath,
frozen winter's kiss
Solitary sentry,
on this spiritual path
of self discovery,
Heavy on the back,
these problems self created,
just little ant hills,
crumbling mountains
of self design.
