Poison

A Poem by Mahigan

I despise every last second
That I breathe this filthy air
Poisoned by the very lips
That I once thought to care

Hating every time my lungs
Are filled by that toxic waste
Pervading every orifice
With the venom left in haste

It has seeped into my blood stream
I wish to tear out every vein
So that I can be rid of this
This poison and this shame

My mind has been corrupted
My thoughts have turned astray
And look only upon one thing
Each and every day

I long to tear my mind apart
And scrub clean these memories
And feelings that all torment
Driving me to insanity

I seek to end this torture
The blade is now my friend
My one and only savior
There with me at the end
