Stars in the nightA Poem by Mason RedThere is peace, and there is silence, turn to look, and define the difference.“Stars in the night;
I’ve been looking, and I’ve been
seeking, Into the night,
Where pillars get pushed, and children get
to fight, And eyes meet eyes -- where mothers hold
on tight, Where we have bullies, who are afraid
of height, And hidden heroes, who’d want to take
flight,
For those into hiding, I turn to seek, For those into dwellin’, I’m willing to
speak, Where the night is all dark, you’d be
unique, And the light you shine together, is mystique,
Now I look way up above, and I see the
sky, Its darkness embracing me, calmly standing
by, But I feel stoked -- also I feel somehow
obliged, To see a hint of harmony -- to see the
stars in the night.” © 2015 Mason RedAuthor's Note
