Have To Try

Have To Try

A Poem by Amber

 I walk through the hallways,

Another day, listening to the same old thing..

I don’t get this,

This isn’t happening?

Why does this always seem to get me..

I know things, but I’m still learning..

So let my mistakes be,

One day I’ll fix everything..

I hate the looks, I get all the time,

Watched like a thief,

I can’t even breathe,

Cause to them it’s too easy..

But what should I do..

Nobody helps you when your in the deepest hole..

Stupid mistakes, stupid questions, stupid answers..

I don’t have what it takes…

But where would I be going, if I couldn’t see the door beyond this hate..

I regret, turning my back to them, when they were in pain..

Because now they do, just what I did..

Leave them feeling helpless…

But it’s alright, it’s just fine..

I found a light, a light to shine..

To forgive them…and I..

Even if we aren’t too sorry,

I have to try..
