My friend told me I need to get over you,

Said when I really realized it,

Things would be worse then before…

The first time, the second…

The little falls and pick-me-ups..

The pain I never knew I could feel…

Your memory lingering till it killed me…

But when you really go..

When I realize how far away you really are..

When you used to be so close,

When we were just the same..

You’ll never know the nightmares, and the love I have,

The words I’ll never be able to say..

So I’m trying,  but I can’t

A breath without you floating through my mind…

Never seeing your eyes, every color and feeling, every sound and touch..

But forever never lasts they tell me...but I can’t believe..

I’ve wasted wishes and dreams,

That you’ll say you need me..

But I am the one who knows the words to say…

But you are deaf whenever I open my mouth and look your way…

This hit will be your best, it will throw me down so far,

I see it in the distance,

I already am tired,

I am so,

Of the things that go on around me, silent and cold.

I’ve lost my hold on reality, and I can’t tighten my grip....

So when you don’t return my love,

In two, my heart will rip,

It’s already torn and battered..

But it doesn’t matter.
