First Dance

First Dance

A Poem by Amber

And there was my first dance..

I've danced once before,

But it wasn't like this..

Wasn't like this..

At all...

You wrapped your arms,

Closely around me...

I felt so charmed, swirling and dancing..

Stepped on your toes, and refused to let go..

When the song stopped going slow..

Something over took me..

That first dance,

I'm still spinning...

I barely know you,

But I know enough..

That first dance, turned my night around...

Felt kind of akward, till you didn't turn me down..

Tried to forget my friends..

My moment,

I never wanted to end.

Cause, I still catch my breath..when I see you..

And sometimes...I look back...

A couple months ago..

Wishing, and thinking...how did I ever let go?

So when a song comes on, and it starts out slow..

My whole world stops..

And I'm letting go..

I'm swirling and swaying back in your arms..

Leaning my head on your chest,

Letting myself relax..

Never can replace a girls first dance..

Doesn't really matter the song...

Only matters who's in your arms..
