A Poem by Benjamin Seymour

Were I to paint a picture of you

I would first draw a freckle

Focusing on the insignificant

To give it all some meaning

Were I to describe you

I would begin with a ‘but’

The contradiction of a person

Can rarely be explained

It stands to reason

That I do not understand

That would be to know too much

I like it :)
I like how it's simple but you read a lot into it

Such a sweet and beautiful biggining. I love this poem. And the way it ends it great.
