White Canvas # 2

White Canvas # 2

A Poem by Benjamin Seymour

Empty paintings on the walls

They don’t seem to realise
And overcast is the forecast for this year
Faces blank and full of wonders why
A mask of innocence of years
As they don't seem to realise

They walked the cobbled stones under the above
Past circled angels and crow’s feet eyes
Aging all day, but the reasons go on
Beneath the clouds that pass and sigh
Past circled angels and crow's feet eyes

It’s all over now
No need to worry
It’s never been better
Never been more tiring
And no time to wash your face
Even though it’s dirty
in the edges of the corners
of your eyes

You know you'll never walk alone, my dear

There's always someone there to catch you
When you falter...
