So Much So FarA Poem by Benjamin SeymourRemind me who my love is So I can send her flowers for her wedding Trinkets for her birthday And ashes for her funeral Rewind my watch back another hour So I can pretend to relive the past
Remind me what my job is So I can sit behind a desk each day Waiting for my paycheck Watercups and wastebins Until I can drink up those drab memories Into that abcess of my mind
Remind me what my name is So I can stand facing the mirror Reciting it over and over Glaring at the stubble and the haggard face Grey hair itching all the roots Kidding myself I'm not like the rest of them Maybe one day I'll find out that I am Until then, remind me why I'm here again. © 2008 Benjamin SeymourReviews
