Selfless Souls With Selfish Minds

This is just a couple of thoughts and rhetorical questions about people who's main aim is to make you feel worthless and insecure. This is one for the bullies.

Through life's tribulations

And people knocking down your wall

How do you look in the mirror?

How do you stand tall?

If life is a written book

Which has yet to be read

How can destiny be made?

How can your dignity be saved?

Through the pain and suffering

That is a fruit of selfish minds

Of selfless souls 

With shameless stares and words to break the lives

Of beings that don't want to be anyone else 

Selfless souls with selfish minds

Break down your wall and leave you to die.

All this was inspired by the fact that bullies have the choice not to hurt other people and can continue living their life, its their choice what to do.

While I agree bullies might do well to have some sort of justice fall upon them...like an ACME Anvil or something. I find the best approach is to show them kindess. It tends to take them completely off gaurd and you can just walk away. At least that works for me. I'm rather forward. =D
Yet, I do see where this piece is going and where it's been. For me... I believe the book hasn't been written and I'm the one doing the writing. So standing tall is just a matter of making a choice on what I want, not what the bullies want. =)

I didn't want to show hate to bullies but with this poem the main question I bring up is why do they hurt others when they have a choice to do right [hence the book + destiny- its their life they control it]

With the mirror I wanted to symbolize the fact that these people live their lives irrespective of the negative effect they have on others.
