Wish You Were Here

Wish You Were Here

A Poem by MKD
"

Lovely.

"

Red and Blue plastic seats
Waving White flags, of pride
Not surrendor
Never surrendor,
Our love.

Juants and jeers don't set
Precedent over the cheering
Of the fans
and I am your biggest.

My super star,
Reaching for the stars
Pulling down the night sky.
I can see it in your eyes,
Big dreamer,
Head in the clouds,
with a heart of
Butterflies,
or a buffalo soldier,
And Phillies fans,
the biggest hearts of all.

Never needed a no-hitter
For a perfect game.
No, I'm not ready for a change
I hope you will stick it out
We're watching the count
Not going down for the count,
No, not now.

The Liberty Bell rings
even without a big hit,
You'll see at the end of the game,
when the crowd goes Wild,
You will see,
How amazing you are,
When your biggest fan,
So proud and true,
Running into your arms, says,
They're cheering for you.

About
I'll admit it, I cannot for the life of me write on cue. It just comes to me when it wants to, and doesn't when I want it to. Go figure. In between sudden urges to write, I dance, a lot, listen to som.. more..
