A Poem by MKD
"

You decide how to describe it.

"

Its not the stars in the sky
or the tie around his neck
Its not the cat crossing the path
or the setting of the sun
Its not the awful indie flicks
or the way she chews her food
Its not the credits rolling
or the stench of rotting pipes
Its not the songs that she's humming
or the words that she forgets
Its not the broadcasts on the news
or the stripe on the horse's back
Its not the color of his lips
or the photos on display
Its not the bugs that creep the house
or the skin that crawls around
Its not the chill running up his spine
or the hair that stands on end
Its not that tomorrow is almost here
or that today is at its end
It never was.

It was always only the black glow
of a broken traffic light
and the instant where the only question
in my mind is Whose turn is it to go?

The was cute! i like the randomness of it all and the end was priceless! Amazing what all goes through a persons head while waiting to see who's turn it is at an intersection. Great job!

About
I'll admit it, I cannot for the life of me write on cue. It just comes to me when it wants to, and doesn't when I want it to. Go figure. In between sudden urges to write, I dance, a lot, listen to som.. more..
