Love's Desire

Love's Desire

A Poem by Mary

Amid this lingering desire for you
are absent words that speak to the pain in my heart
And all that I hoped for has ended
Before it could even start.

Each day full of painful heartache
Yet there are moments filled with blissful love
Still, you are everything I’ve wished for
and more than I could ever dream of.

The world moves forward without stopping
As I pause in this frozen moment of time
In hopes that these fading memories will stay
While in my dreams you are forever mine.
