Dreaming Away

Eyes closed, yet wide awake
Yearning to drift away into dreams;
That of which is my only escape
To a blissful, yet mystifying place.

My thoughts have intermingled,
At times unable to differentiate
Between the lies and the truths
That are laid upon these dreams.

Only seeing what I wish to see
And feeling what I wish to feel,
With no desire to be awakened
To return to this reality.
