My First Love

My First Love

A Poem by Mary Jo. Clare
"

This poem is an ode to my first love. We were young, but we still cared for each other. Please allow yourself to relate to this poem. Enjoy!

"
We were juvenile

Simply kids, yet lovers at heart

Unable to be together, yet too strong a force to pulled apart

I felt your calming touch in my dreams

That had the ability to suppress my tireless nightmares

The thought of you made my dark cheeks blush, and my dull skin tingle

The sound of your laugh resembled the melodic tune of angels harmonizing

With each glance, your eyes drew me closer each time I told myself I'd turn away

You were irresistible

A shining light on a rainy day
My first love

Been there: That over whelming desire but to shy to say + Dream of them __ BUT ----- alas just a distant dream

This reads like a raw and pure love story. It shows how you had a kind heart and a soft corner for that person.

You're welcome.
Tender and gentle, filled with fond remembrance. Just like first love should be.
