Fear

Fear

A Poem by Mary Jo. Clare
"

This poem is about fear and the power it has over our bodies and the way we behave. Please allow yourself to relate to this poem. Enjoy!

"
Fear.
A complex emotion that causes our vulnerable bodies to tremble uncontrollably
Whilst our hearts drop within our chests
Fear.
An involuntary reflex that causes us to cower and shrink to the size of a pea whenever we are threatened,
Instead of rising up like an eagle on the horizon,
with a formidable snake in its sharp talons,
piercing its skin.
Fear.
One of mankind's greatest nemesis
A dark fate that cannot be escaped
Fear.

Thank you so much!
So many people have basically ended their productive lives over fear. It stops people in their tracks for whatever reason. I think you explain a good portion of that here in poetic style.

Nice job, Mary.
