The Absence of LoveA Poem by Mary Jo. ClareThis poem is about the absence of love in one's life. Please allow yourself to relate to this poem if you've ever experienced this before. Enjoy! The absence of love Is an impatient void, waiting to be filled Corrupting my well-being And making it ill I hope for an intimacy That can calm my anxious presence A yearning welcoming embrace That ends this inhumane life sentence A search for one that can open my eyes, to the good the world beholds Enabling me to see, Earth's glorious bounty unfold I will write about Love's enemies Till I discover it's shining light Utter and complete darkness Shall continue to plague my life
