GoodbyeA Chapter by Mary GreenwellChapter Two “I’m not Wolf.” I told Tyler that night as we started a movie. He’d put himself in charge of my safety for now on. “What do you mean?” “Daddy had an affair with a human and after testing my genes and trying to change me he’s finally admitted that I’m completely human. It’s why he’s been trying to find a town for me because after the pack realizes I’m truly human I’ll be kicked out.” “You should come to Mystic Falls ASAP.” He decided. “When’s ASAP?” “Tomorrow… we leave tomorrow.” “I should pack then.” I whispered and I forced myself to move from his hold. It was comfortable like nothing would ever go wrong again. “Let’s go then. If you get packed early enough we can leave today.” I nodded and walked towards my suite. Tyler followed though and just started packing my clothes. I realized then that he hadn’t once looked at me with even lust in his eyes. “Do you already have a mate or something?” I asked. “No but I am dating somebody.” He laughed, “She’s actually human.” He smiled at the thought and then zipped my suitcase up. “Let’s head out. We have a good hour of a drive ahead of us.” I nodded and he picked my suitcase up holding it while taking my arm. “I’m fine.” I promised but we both knew I was hurting from the beating I took from Andrew. “Just let me help you.” He sighed and so I nodded. I said my goodbyes to everybody and then with the whole pack, even Andrew, watching I got into Tyler’s car and we took off. “So I should probably warn you…” Tyler started when we crossed the Virginia line. “What?” “We don’t actually live as a pack in Mystic Falls. I am Alpha of the werewolves but we all live in our own houses and go to school and everything.” “So where will I live?” “I’ve found a vampire family that will gladly take you in.” © 2013 Mary Greenwell |
