Chapter Sixteen

“We should head home.” He whispered, “Everybody else has already left and celebrations start tomorrow.” I nodded and sighed as another ceremony came to me. I kissed him at the end of the memory but then I realized that we were in a huge room.

“Home?” I questioned.

“Yes.” He whispered kissing me again but then he took a string from my kapp and twisted it with his finger. “For the celebrations you will have to dress in one of the many outfits you have here.” He told me.

“What’s wrong with my Amish outfits?”

“Come…” He took my hand and led me to a closet. When he opened it I realized exactly what was wrong with it.

“Elaborate aren’t they?”

“Very.” He whispered, “They are also gorgeous on you though.” He promised and I walked into the closet running my hands over the dresses.

“I wore this to our first ceremony.” I whispered looking at one.

“Yes.” He smiled, “I remember that one clearly.” He whispered.

“How much older are you than me? My memories haven’t clued me in on that one.”

“Just a few years.” He whispered, “Tomorrow you will be twenty.” He smiled and I giggled. I knew they only counted years as stars destroyed.

“I was reincarnated though.”

“You are still that old.” He promised, “I’m not married to somebody that’s not even one yet.” He chuckled though. “Our first ceremony was on your first birthday.” He explained and I smiled moving into his arms.

“I wish that I had all of the memories as clearly as you do.” I told him and he smiled.

“I’m just happy that you’re mine again.” He explained and I smiled happily at him.

“Will you show me around sometime today?” I whispered.

“Yes. First you need to sleep though. You haven’t slept a wink since the ceremony and haven’t had a good night’s rest in longer.” I nodded and walked over to the bed.

“What’s the need for such a big bed?” I asked.

“You’ll see.” He smiled kissing me, “It gives us more room for when we do this…” He whispered kissing me again at least until I yawned. “Later.” He sighed, “You need sleep.”

“And I have no need for a big bed to do that.” I told him, “That would just give you more room to pull away from me with. In a small bed even when you just want your hands to touch me… well I get to feel most of you.” I smiled up at him and he chuckled. “I bet I could make it where you would agree that you don’t need a huge bed.” I told him.

“I bet you couldn’t. Especially when you just pointed out how much less teasing I’m allowed to give you in a small bed.” He smiled and I blushed. “Now you are tired and you need to get out of that dress and into some silk before I put you to bed naked.” He warned but I smiled.

“What if I want to be put to bed naked?” I questioned.

“Ally…” He groaned, “You were yawning just a second ago. Please go to bed.”

“I want you though. I have my memories… not as clearly as you do… they are blurry…” I got distracted.

“The more you try to remember the less blurry they will be.” He promised me softly. While I was distracted he undressed me and slipped a silk nightdress over my head. “Now climb up in bed.” He whispered.

“I thought I was going to bed naked?” I frowned.

“Clarence!!!!!!” A female yelled through the door and I blushed bright red.

“Relax.” He whispered kissing me softly, “She couldn’t hear you. It’s just my mother anyway. She’s caught us in less pleasant circumstances.”

“Har har har.” I laughed sarcastically.

“Get in bed. I’ll tell her that we’ll find her after you get some rest.” He promised.

“You aren’t going to let me introduce… see… meet…”

“Rest.” He shook his head, “Things always seem clearer after sleep.” He walked away then and I just let my mind go back to when we first met.
