A visit

Chapter Ten

 

“I’m going to visit.” I warned Cupid one morning. Angel had been in every day since I’d gotten back to The Mountain to let me know of her disgust of my actions and marriage to Cupid.

“I’ll go with you.” He promised holding me to his chest on the bed. I had not spoken since we’d given Surya to Mom and Dad.

“I told you I was going to visit.” I told Cupid when he appeared beside me. “He’s exactly one.” Cupid pulled me in and we let our pain mold into one.

“It’s Mommy.” I heard a voice that sounded like Cupid’s.

“Surya?” I asked softly and a bouncing boy ran in.

“Mommy?” He checked and I nodded, “Daddy?” Cupid pulled away from me and Surya was in his arms.

“Mom? Dad?” I asked and instead of them my nanny came in.

“So it’s true.” She smiled but she handed me a photo album, “I’ve been making this for you two.” She explained as I flipped through picture after picture of Surya.

“Do you want Mommy?” I heard Cupid’s whisper and I immediately switched him.

“One day I’ll bring you home.” I promised Surya.

“I love you, Mommy.” Surya told me the love sounded more like ‘wub’ though.

“I love you too… more than you’ll ever understand.” I started to visit Surya every night but one night I walked in to find him with a mortal girl. I was suddenly glad Cupid had come with me.
