Chapter Twenty-FourA Chapter by Mary GreenwellChapter 24 “Now where were we?” I asked and everybody looked shocked. “What did you do?” Piper asked. “A simple spell to bring me home.” I shrugged, “I learned it back in like the first year. So Leo do you think all that is too much to take on?” I asked even though Cole was home and ticked. “Leo don’t sign Lilybelle up for any classes yet I’d hate for you to sign her up and then not have a person to put in them.” Cole said and I heard a new ring in his voice Piper stood up hearing the same thing I did and we both ran to him. Piper and I did my spell again taking us to the middle of nowhere and just looked at him not sure what to do now. Cole had never been around when he’d gone this far. I felt a tear fall as I realized that if I hadn’t known about his demonic side he’d be dead to me right now. “Please Cole calm down. This is just another fight. Think about all of our other fights.” “I don’t think that worked.” Piper told me as he got worse. “Then help me.” I begged crying and sinking to the ground, “I don’t study I don’t know anything about demons that’s why I want those classes.” “We’ll talk about that later.” She said angrily and I realized she thought it was as bad of an idea as Cole apparently did. “Cole, think of the love you hold for Lily. Think of your Lily-be. Think of how empty your life was without her. Think of how hard you always work to come back to her. She needs you right now Cole. Look at her she’s on the ground crying. She’s blaming herself for doing this to you. She’s blaming herself for bringing out the demon in you.” I felt Cole’s arms suddenly surrounding me. © 2013 Mary Greenwell
