My Collideoscope

My Collideoscope

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

My Collideoscope

From the darker shells

Tiptoes experiences

Of those I dared

It seems life times ago

I hold dear today

And aim to be more daring and bold

To behold the collideoscopic dreaming

Weave that encompasses my knowing

And out of which bursts more

Than language expresses

The vividness of vibrations

Real

Coming, returning

Like an old friend

I thought I had lost

To my old ways

It seems my expansion

Is reaching on its own now

This dear friend

And in her echo’s

In her whispers

Invitations of letting go

In my safe place

In the comfort of my bed time

And my favorite hours of darkness

Her gem like stories unfold

The murmuring colors that left me

Last night

Beside myself

Wondering if the real is possible

Wondering if I can handle it

Wondering for how long more

Will I be shared this gift

In these hours of darkness

I fill with collidescopic oceanic

Heavenly lights

Inside they brew

As this old friend greets me anew
