New Era

New Era

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

New Era

Breaking the chains

Out of the mold

The complacency into limitations

Development of ego

An Ossification of separation

The unspoken bargains

Of transactional love

Reward and punishment

Over and over and over

Engrained

Coming to a crossroads

Of awakening

To the mold

To the subliminal unconscious

Awakening to the existence of reality mirror

The source of all reflections

And the slowing down

The orbit of such ideas into the dusk

And remembering the center sun within

The power

Not dormant

But used and misused

Now a new perspective

The station of mind in flight

Of the power of dawn

In each moment

I fill up here

Effortless

The renewable energy of unconditional love

To be

And as is allow oneself

I love your writing style and mind! These are my two favorite lines, although, I love every one! We should start a writers workshop!
