Forgotten Lost Parts

Forgotten Lost Parts

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

Forgotten Lost Parts

Forgotten, lost parts

All in a murmur

Now coming back to life again

Picking them like fruit

From the tree of life

These Aha streams

And moments sealed by promises to self

Woven knit my basket of intentions

To fill with new experiences

And welcome with

This ever changing

Ever newer

Younger and wiser version of self

These peak moments in flight

And brief landings on the cliffs of ascension

I remember my forgotten lost parts

Whose hidden shadows cast much despair

In the land of fragmented souls

Here only to be found again

The fruit of kind acknowledgement

Delivers to my being integration

In the deep power of the grain of sand

The root cause of pearl

And the pain of the poison of the bee sting

That is most healing

If I be not afraid of change
