Desiring You

Desiring You

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

Desiring You

I cannot contain

My spilling desire

To crawl up your sleeves

Follow the pathway of your veins

Inhaling your scent all the way to the base of your neck

Where my hand’s grip, meet the cascade of your erotic hair

Draped to my face

Pull you close to taste you mouth

Over and over and over again

The play of your games with my lips

And not so subliminal messages

To the lotus at bay

I want your sweat

To drip down and ripple

As extensions of your crystal blue eyes

Into the sea of possibilities

I want you to warm me, tune me and blow me

Like you do with your mouth the didgeridoo

So that I may be more supple

To mold around your gladiator body

Like the strings I want you to play with my body

And benefit from the luxury of your delicious hands

All over me

So that I can release all kinds of notes into the hot air

Catch my breath

Which left yesterday

And expand my lung capacity

To fill with aromas splash

To the shore of the lonely Pisces

Alas, I will go to sleep now

So that I may dream of you

And your smell all over me
