Blink Of Dew

Blink Of Dew

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

Blink Of Dew

Swimming in the preconditioned river

Mans destiny unfolds

The current filled with ironies of myths unfold

Pebbles of freedom sink

And some dip

Below the fear

Way down below the black

Before the memory of light

The vacuous ocean engulfs

Swimmers of all ironies

Through the thick foliage

Through the rocks

And molten steel

Journey dissolves

Preconditioned memories

Of chains and tears

Of bliss and tease

Free from it all the fish scales

Have no motive than to serve as be

Such a dream or fantasy

Brushes me

And swallowed me whole

In a blink of a dew

Resting, digesting, animating

Forgiving a blind eye
