With delight

With delight

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

With delight

I see a flash

Lightening in sky

I take a seat and look up close

The picture reveals

I take a brush and stroke with words

The vividness and gradations

Feelings and convictions

The picture takes me in

I take a ride and journal

The story, the turns

The ins and outs

I then revisit with intentions

High to capture pure essence

Brought forth from sky

And then that’s it

I think I got it

Voila!
