Imagination infused with Conviction of Faith

Imagination infused with Conviction of Faith

A Poem by Maryam Mottahedeh

Imagination infused with Conviction of Faith

None more powerful

Than the glory of the life source

The power of the center of our universe

For which we have a heart

Father sun shining so bright

And always whole

Tirelessly giving out

Source of consciousness

And if we be so blind

With the power of compassion, he gives more

Chunk after another

The blow of solar flares

From it’s very being

Channeling up our spines to central station

Wake up Children!  Wake up!

And indeed in the mother womb we awoke

In her most sacred, dreaming rivers

And there we metabolize the sun

Mother carried the dream

Father brought it to life

Mother birthed this imagination

Father waking us up

Again

So that we in the image of our parents

Once more

May birth the sacred imagination within

And wake up together in the direction of the rising sun

We are children and we are gods

Who in comfort chose to forget

The power of the majesty of our brains

Falling down the stairway of devolution

Where in quiet moments

I find a humming prayer

Asking mother to open me further to her ocean

Asking father to nurse in me the sun

That brings all to manifest
