TrichotellomaniaA Poem by Mary Christabel GeorgeIts a tribute to all those who suffer from TrichotellomaniaTrichotillomania
The crawling sensation moved in Selecting the most suitable one She plucked one & several such
There was an unusual pleasure, she experienced But, Soon the pleasure turned into dismay As it left her head with Ugly bald patches
She covered them with anything that was black. Ah!
Gripped with Pain & shame She faced the questions of this vindictive world Some mocked, some passed taunts & some asked her why
She took oath & made the covenant with oneself Never again! she will fall for this temptation But, shortly surrendered in the wee hours of loneliness
'Drugs, alcohol or smoke any be the addiction Nothing is miserable than this “obsessive compulsive disorder" ' She exclaimed.
Looking at else lustrous hair She hoped she could have the same
The Trichologist said it’s a chemical secretion The Psychologist said it’s nothing but stress & depression The counselor said willpower is the only solution.
It’s a disease; my friend, she may or may not carry till her grave. Not sympathy but love we can give, if we really care. © 2016 Mary Christabel GeorgeAuthor's Note
