Forget

Forget

A Poem by imm's place

Jack,

Today I wonder how we soon forget things that meant a lot in our past.I am sure we wasted so many

fun times together. Boy it was hard to say farewell. The end of  the summer came and it was back to school time.

Do you remember the times we settled on the bluff on  top of the mountain.Overlooking the lake and all our families homes. The length of the lake glistening in the sun, reflecting our hearts.

Feelings all encompassing as we left our feelings inside.Only holding hands and sharing small talk

in the moment. We leave as we envelope the feelings that we conquered a small portion of the world and our lives.

Summer gives us all that will and desire to abandon  logic.Do you remember the gentle passion all encompassing as our lips met. The thrill of summer love as our embrace said a melancholy goodbye.

Tell me did you forget too? Do you remember ocassionally?

   I do..............
