A Being Part one

A Being Part one

A Poem by imm's place

The mists  are in and it's grey

An early morning rise and walk

Rain appears to flood the roads

The hail  jumps of the stream of water

The short little being steps out

A grin making the face grim

Hopping dry spot to dry spot

Trembling as hail hits skin

Honking and sirens wailing

Gets the trembles to shake

He runs to hide under the shrubs

The gloom of the city trying to get in

Shaking off the emotions and pain

He wriggles into the breaking sunligh

Catching his breat when colours sparkle

The trees shiny and clean, growing green

Entering the park he sees the birds

Hearing their songs, chick-a-dee-dee

Squirrels black or brown looking for food

Stopping to stare at him, he shuffles back

The teeth of a smile reflecting sunlight

The music interrupts his haven

Colourful shoes and pants passing by

Send the little being disappearing

Sunshine bringing out the starkness

A human world so busy and bold

Not meant to share with little folk

He scurried under a fold into his world..

This is a good one. I like your imagery. You have a few type-os. Lines 14 and 15, the words sunlight and breath. Hope that helps.

What a gorgeous picture of nature you paint with your words! I loved the first stanza in particular and the bit about the squirrel. Very cute & beautiful. ^_^ This seems to tell a story through it's description, which is something unique to read! Great job!
