FearA Poem by Mitchjust going for the creepyThere is an interesting feeling that comes with being scared No other emotion can really compare The adrenaline gets going and the blood starts pumping All leading up to a most terrifying scare Your senses are cranked up to eleven Your heartbeat you feel in your ears Try to remain calm in the face of distress And not to give in to your fears Maybe you can’t sit still or perhaps are frozen in fear Everyone has their own reaction We all will share that cold dreadful feeling When a frozen shiver sends your body to contraction Do you stay and fight or do you turn tail and run? In the end it’s only up to you Either way you may become lame prey and are done Falling victim to the specter that haunts you So take a deep breath and don’t make a sound Keep your wits and you may yet survive But the night is still long with everything so wrong It’s doubtless you’ll come out alive © 2016 MitchReviews
